A Damaged and Diseased Tree
A prescribed fertilization program is the key to great looking, healthy trees. Many times fertilizer is simply applied to the tree without consideration of what the tree really needs or proper methods of application. At Woodsman Tree Company, our trained and knowledgeable arborists conduct an onsite analysis to determine the nutritional needs of your trees.
Then, with the Texas drought in mind, we apply a custom blended fertilizer to meet your trees’ nutritional needs. The method of application is a deep root feeding, one that offers better distribution and uptake of fertilizer because water along with nutrients is injected into the root zone.
Control of insects and diseases in our environment is a vital part to the overall health of our trees & shrubs. For example Oak Wilt Disease and Borer Insect Infestation along with many others that require attention and control.
Stress factors are the primary issue that lead a tree to a point of weakness that allows the secondary issue (insects & disease) to cause tree and shrub mortality. Many stress factors can make trees more susceptible to diseases and insect damage. These include: heat, drought, flooding, lightning, animal damage, construction damage, soil compaction, and wildfire, among others.
Our Tree Wellness Program which includes Fertilization along with Pest Management and Disease Control is a program of first, observation and secondarily, maintenance.
